Legible News was started in 2018 to deal with the shortcomings of US-based news websites being both slow, full of advertisements, and always having breaking news headlines. It accomplishes this by being text-only and not loading 3rd party trackers and advertisements. Additionally it features major global news headlines, eliminating other non-essential content, to help the reader more quickly digest the news.
