Turkish military intervention in Syria

The Turkish military says the soldiers were targeted in an airstrike by a Syrian warplane, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reports an ISIL suicide bomber was responsible. CENTCOM reports a U.S. service member has been killed in an IED blast near the town of Ayn Issa, Al-Raqqah Governorate, becoming the first U.S. military casualty in the conflict. (ABC News)
